Sustainability-Focused Ethical Fashion Brand le cashmere Makes a Statement Against Animal Cruelty Through the Launch of Their Cashmere Line on Kickstarter
Through their sustainable business model, South Korean fashion brand le cashmere is proving that high-grade Mongolian cashmere can be produced without harming animals. Their new line of cashmere products, the 100% cashmere scarf and cashmere padded shawl are set to go live on Kickstarter on December 11th, 2021.
“Beyond just a fashion brand that makes trendy cashmere clothing pieces, our mission lies in pursuing ethical fashion that tackles the root of the environmental, labor, and animal cruelty issues in the fashion industry.” - Dongju (Brandon) Yu, CEO of le cashmere
Selected as the best-practice eco-friendly brand in the 2020 UNCCD (United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification), le cashmere is looking to take their company to the next level by launching the company's newest cashmere products on Kickstarter. The campaign features two new products, the 100% cashmere scarf and the cashmere padded shawl. By informing the public about their ethical and sustainable business practices, le cashmere aims to set a new standard for sourcing and producing cashmere products that eradicates animal cruelty. The campaign is set to go live on Saturday, December 11th 2021, at 12:00 p.m. EST.
le cashmere’s goats are raised 100% fence-free in a vast Mongolian pasture that the company manages themselves. They work directly with the local producers of Mongolia in order to ensure that they are paid fairly and to help them grow as cashmere experts.
Executing their vision of zero-waste and long-lasting quality, le cashmere is releasing two new products through their Kickstater campaign, the Mod cashmere scarf and the Oi cashmere padded shawl. Made with the Zibellino method, the 100% cashmere scarf features five colors for the Kickstarter backers to choose from, heather gray, mocha, wine, midnight and toffee. The cashmere padded shawl is a product made by upcycling the unused cashmere fabrics from the making of the scarf. The exterior of the product features recycled nylon which is lightweight and waterproof.
le cashmere strives to create a circular fashion structure so that clothing waste can be minimized within the next five years. In order to do so, they create high quality products that can be worn for a long time, collect the products after they are completely used, and then re-creates them with new materials.
The le cashmere products will have exclusive prices for Kickstarter backers starting from $78. They are releasing only the set limited quantities in order to maintain the integrity of their sustainable business practices.
