The product contains silver-ion technology, a natural anti-microbial, which has been successful in fighting the growth of bacteria for thousands of years.When used on walls and surfaces in the home, the silver ions prevent bacteria from growing, producing energy, or replicating, and as a result they die.
It is true to say that viruses do not remain active outside the host. Most become undetectable after between 24 hours and 7 days. SARS-COV-2 lasts longer on some surfaces than others *. On some surfaces it is shown to last up to 7 days after contamination. In tests* we saw a reduction in SARS COV2 on a surface painted with Protego Antimicrobial of >45.05% after 6 hours and >68.38% after 24 hours when compared to a control painted sample when tested to ISO 21702:2019.
