CANNES (May 2023) – Scott Adkins (John Wick: Chapter 4, American Assassin, Dr. Strange, Ip Man 4) and Marko Zaror (John Wick: Chapter 4, Machete Kills, Alita: Battle Angel) reunite after their globally successful roles in John Wick 4 in director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza’s (The Fist of the Condor, Redeemer) new gripping action feature film, DIABLO.
Film Mode Entertainment and Wonder Street are co-producing with a script written by Mat Sansom. Producers are Craig Baumgarten (Universal Soldier franchise, Never Back Down), Clay Epstein (Crypto,), Scott Adkins and Marco Zaror. DIABLO is currently moving from development into pre-production and will shoot in Chile, where Zaror and Espinoza are originally from and have major followings, later this year. Film Mode Entertainment is handling all foreign sales and partnering with Wonder Street on domestic sales and will be premiering a filmmaker presentation to buyers for the very first time in Cannes on May 15th at 16:00 local time at the Olympia 6.

After his release from prison, Kris Chaney (Scott Adkins) embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill an old promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful gangster. Her father, Vincent, puts out a call to the entire criminal underworld to bring her back alive. El Corvo (Marko Zaror), a psychopathic killer, joins the hunt not for the money, but for his own vendetta against Vincent’s family. Kris must evade both Elisa’s powerful father and a ruthless killer bent on revenge to live long enough to tell Elisa the full story that has been hidden from her.
